“亮出最好的你”—留美博士袁曉娟在我院舉行大學生就業(yè)心理調(diào)適講座

 5月24日晚，自小在美國留學的袁曉娟博士應邀為我院500多名師生作了一場題為《亮出最好的你——大學生就業(yè)心理調(diào)適》的專場講座。講座在學院圖書館多功能報告廳舉行，韓祝疇書記和袁陵南院長出席講座。
    Yuan Xiaojuan, who had just won her Ph.D in America, was specially invited to give a lecture entitled “Show You the Best” for graduates of HNFLVC on 24th May. The lecture was aiming to help the College’s graduates adjust their psychology when they are seeking employment. The lecture attracted all attendants’ attention and brought forth great response.
    More than 500 students and teachers attended Dr. Yuan Xiaojuan's lecture in the Lecture Hall of College’s Library, including the College’s Secretary of Chinese Communist Party Committee, Mr. Han Zhuchou and College’s President, Mrs. Yuan Lingnan.
    當晚，多功能報告廳里座無虛席，師生們精神飽滿，熱情高漲。袁曉娟博士首先從介紹自身的工作經(jīng)歷開始，向現(xiàn)場的師生講述了她15歲就只身前往美國求學并一直攻讀到博士后的感人事跡，其生動的描述、有趣的情節(jié)，一開場就吸引了全體師生。隨后，袁曉娟博士結合自己的親身工作經(jīng)歷，就“如何成功就業(yè)”這個問題向?qū)W生提出她自己的看法和建議。袁博士從實習與就業(yè)的區(qū)別、書本與實際的結合、如何做好實習前的準備工作、如何面對壓力、如何與老板溝通、如何與老板互動等六個方面，逐一進行闡述。在講到“實習與就業(yè)的區(qū)別”時，她告訴大家：實習的時候，每個人就像是客人，無論何時都要謙虛學習；成功就業(yè)后，就已經(jīng)成為這個家的一分子，除了謙虛學習外，也要開始慢慢學會主動做事、發(fā)表看法。除此之外，袁博士還建議，在實際工作中，要多與老板溝通，她說：“老板也是人，不必害怕，適時、適當?shù)嘏c老板溝通有助于個人的發(fā)展和提高?！?br />    During the lecture, Dr. Yuan Xiaojuan first gave a grand tour of America, where she has lived and studied since she was 15 years old, highlighting the working experiences in Peralta Community College, MACYS, Target, and Kaiser Etc.. Based on her own stories, Dr. Yuan addressed the graduates on the subject of “How to Succeed in Workplace” from six aspects: “the Differences between Practice and Employment”, “the Combination of Books and Reality”, “Preparation before Practice”, “Handle the Pressure”, “Communicating with Boss”, and “Interacting with Boss”.
    In the topic of “the differences between practice and employment”, Dr. Yuan Xiaojuan said that “When practicing, you are just like a guest who should be modest and study hard all the time; After becoming an employee, it means that you are a part of the family, besides keeping studying hard and modestly, you should work actively and air views as well.”
    Dr. Yuan also emphasized the interaction between employees and bosses, “you have no need to fear your boss, and it is conducive to the further development of your abilities through communicating with the boss timely and properly.”
    在最后的互動環(huán)節(jié)中，學生們紛紛對在就業(yè)過程中遇到的種種實際問題進行提問，包括如何應對面試官的刁鉆問題、如何制定一份吸引人的簡歷等，袁博士都耐心地予以一一回答。
    在一遍遍熱烈的掌聲中，講座在輕松、愉快的交流中順利結束。在這場持續(xù)進行了近兩個小時的講座中，袁曉娟博士循循善誘，將深奧的理論通俗化，沉重的問題輕松化，讓同學們在聊天式的氛圍中學到了許多課本里學不到的知識，極大地拓展了同學們的知識面和視野。
    Lastly, Dr. Yuan Xiaojuan gave some advice on “how to handle the tough questions in the interview” and “how to make an attractive resume” and so on.
    Dr. Yuan Xiaojuan created a soft and pleasant atmosphere in the lecture. The lecture lasted around two hours and ended with a long applause.
