在圖書館多媒體2教室，一節(jié)別開生面的英語課正在進行。剛剛看完電影《The Stoning of Soraya M.》的同學(xué)們正圍繞老師提出的關(guān)于人權(quán)（Human Rights）的問題熱烈討論著。當(dāng)天的氣溫雖然很高，但同學(xué)們的熱情似乎比氣溫更高。這是出現(xiàn)在我院舉辦的暑期英語夏令營活動中的情景。

此次暑期英語夏令營由對外合作交流處主辦，為期4周，共開設(shè)兩個班，以外教授課的形式與近50名學(xué)生進行互動交流。自7月12日正式開營以來，吸引了校內(nèi)外眾多學(xué)生們報名和加入。夏令營活動中，外教老師除了組織學(xué)生觀看電影并引發(fā)他們進行話題討論外，還積極拓展教學(xué)渠道，通過講授和活動相結(jié)合的方式，介紹英語語言教學(xué)理論、課堂教學(xué)實踐，圍繞“家庭、溝通、食物、友誼、職業(yè)、健康、文化、運動、休閑”等主題組織學(xué)生開展討論。每天晚上還舉行英語角活動，就隨意話題進行英語口語練習(xí)，以提高學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)英語興趣和會話能力。

旨在豐富學(xué)生暑期生活、增強其英語聽說讀寫能力的暑期英語夏令營被視作是我院積極推進英語素質(zhì)教育、促進區(qū)域經(jīng)濟發(fā)展的又一次嘗試。雖然時間不長，但參與了活動的學(xué)生紛紛表示，外教老師營造出的輕松愉快的授課環(huán)境，極大地提高了自己學(xué)習(xí)英語的興趣，同時，外教老師根據(jù)學(xué)生英語學(xué)習(xí)的弱項針對性教學(xué)，也幫助提高了自己的英語應(yīng)用水平。

HNFLPE 2010 English Summer Camp Opens

HNFLPE launched its 2010 English Summer Camp on July 12 for nearly 50 students from both inside and outside schools.

In 4 weeks of this English Summer Camp, the students and foreign teachers will be engaged in a lot of activities, including watching movies, topic lecturing, holding English corners, playing games and learning to sing English songs.

The English Summer Camp, which features a flexible learning style of the intensive training in listening and speaking and comprehensive knowledge training,  was held to raise the students’ self-confidence and interests in English-learning and improve their abilities of application.
